Step 1: buy an arcade

Before you can start the diamond casino heist in GTA online, you need to purchase one of the six possible retro arcades in the game. You must talk to lester in mirror park to access the arcades.

Step 2: set up your heist

Once you have your arcade location up and running, you can enter lester's underground base, where you will gain access to three blackboards. Use these blackboards to manage your heist.

The three blackboards represent the three following stages of the heist:

• The set up


• The prep


• The heist

The first blackboard is dedicated to helping you set up your heist. You will see the "to do" list in the upper right corner, which is a list of actions you must perform before the actual heist.

You can also choose to do the optional list of tasks, but you will have to pay for all of the intelligence associated with them, so we'll just focus on the main missions.

Scope out casino

This is the first task you need to complete. To make things easier, it is advisable to purchase the two extras from the setup board:

These two pieces of intelligence will help you to find all of the safest entry points into the casino.

Scope out vault contents

After you arrive at the casino and find the vault, you can scope it out for four types of valuables:

You can only choose one of the four options, and they are random. The best loot you can get from the vault is diamonds, which cost over $3 million. The least profitable is cash. So if you happen to get the case with diamonds, then select it and mark it on your blackboard.

Select approach

The final part of the setup is selecting one of the three available approaches:

• Silent and sneaky


• The big con


• Aggressive

All three approaches offer different types of gameplay. Silent and sneaky is obviously a stealth plan; the big con uses tricks and disguises; and aggressive offers a full-on guns blazing robbery.

It doesn't matter which approach you choose, as they all lead to the same results. Choose the style that fits your personal taste the most.

Step 3: prep your heist

This stage of the heist requires the most time and money. This stage is where you hire your crew of npcs, select disguises, vehicles, and other necessary items from the "to do" list.

Support crew

In this first section, you can choose three possible crewmen for the heist:

• Gunman


• Driver


• Hacker

All three categories offer different skills, but these also come with varying prices. Whenever you choose a crewman, it will show you their cut in percentages. Obviously, the higher the skill, the higher the cut.

In this case, it is strongly recommended that you take all three expert level crewmen, where each will take 9% of your heist earnings. It's a lot of money to give away, but you will have the highest quality weapons and vehicles during the heist.

The to-do list

After you have chosen your team, you can start the six main prep missions. In each of these missions, you need to select which item types you wish to steal.

Choose buyer

Buyers have three levels: low, middle, and high. Always go for the high-level buyer. They will offer the most amount of money. The heist will be more difficult, but if you've done your prep correctly, and spent cash on the right things, then you should be fine.

Also buy a clean vehicle and gunman decoy for $50,000 if you can.

Starting the mission

If you've selected the gruppe sechs entrance disguise and the big con approach, then you will start the heist mission in an armored truck, which is the best for this mission.

Here's how to get through the entire heist easily:

1. Enter the underground garage of the casino


2. Take the elevator to the vault


3. Run past all the guards without killing them


4. Use the vault keycard


5. Let the casino worker open the vault for you


6. Get the loot


7. Exit the vault floor through the staircase


8. Change the disguise in the locker room (noose)


9. Exit the casino through the staff door

When you're outside the casino, you can safely deliver the vault contents to your buyer.

Finish the mission

The only problem you might run into during this final stage of the heist is the chasing helicopter. Steal any car you see and use it to deliver the loot (if you didn't purchase the clean vehicle option ahead of time).

If cops start chasing you, use the underground sewer system to get away from them and stay undetected. Follow the marker on the map to your buyer's location.

When you've reached the buyer location, the mission ends with a cutscene, and you get your money reward.

The diamond casino heist is the biggest ever to hit GTA online, and requires drawing up meticulous setup plans to walk away with the maximum payout. Here’s a run-down of the setup board for the diamond casino heist in GTA online so you can beat the house.

There are multiple different preparation options for you to choose from at nearly every stage of setup for the diamond casino heist – from when you’re casing the joint to when you’re breaking into the vault.

The first time you successfully run the heist is free. But you’ll have to pay to play thereafter.

GTA online diamond casino heist set up

Setup: arcade equipment

Next head over to your new digs and a cutscene will play and you’ll be able to begin the first set up missions by walking over to the laptop in the empty arcade basement.

Interacting with the laptop launches the first setup mission – arcade equipment – where you track down some initial kit for your hideout.

Make your way to the post op depository and chase down the jacked truck. Take out the drivers and schlep back to your arcade.

On your return another cutscene plays where lester runs through the prospective plan in three parts: scope, prepping, score. He also briefly goes over the three ways that you can play the heist: stealthy, aggressive, or “the big con”.

First on your list is scoping out the casino for opportunities.

Scoping out the casino – scope every entrance and POI

These are all optional objectives that give you more options when you’re infiltrating the casino. Scoping is split into two missions, scope out the casino and scope out the vault contents.

You can scope all of the access points in scoping the casino, but you can only get the first six points of interest. The others are gathered from the separate scout “vault contents” mission.

These are the six access points to the diamond casino :

• Main door – at the front of the casino


• Side doors – take pictures of the keypad doors on the sides of the casino, there’s one on the back and left-hand side


• Roof terrace – four keypad doors, one next to the pool, one down the stairs behind the bar, two around the back jump off the ledge on the left-hand side of the pool and follow the path around


• Security tunnel – in the tunnel under the racetrack at the back of the casino, take a picture of the garage door


• Roof – take a picture of the two keypad doors either side of the helipad


• Sewer tunnel – across the street from the casino is a big storm drain, head down into the sewer here and take a picture of the grate.

Main points of interest

• Security guard – stood next to the elevator by the front desk


• Keypad – on the casino floor, next to restricted access doors


• 1st security camera – found on the ceiling of the main casino rooms

• Valet – out the front door of the casino


• Vault blueprints – on the desk in the management office (requires VIP membership, go through inside track towards the back of the casino and you’ll see the door down a side corridor).

Vault contents points of interest

To find these you need to move between the different camera views in the time allotted.

• Carpeted room – POI pops as soon as you switch to this view


• Metal detectors – in grey room


• Security office door – doors in the room with the grey stripe running down the middle


• Staff elevator – in the purple diamond casino room, pan to the two elevators on the right


• Blue door – in the corridor with the elevator and blue door, pan to the door on the left

Finding these allows you to buy extras from your set up board, letting you find access points easier, or practise the skills you’ll need on the inside.

Now that you’ve earmarked your possible points of entry, it’s time to choose your approach.

They’re pretty self explanatory: aggressive means you hit the casino hard and violently, silent relies on clandestine stealth, while the big con goes full ocean’s eleven with disguises and subterfuge.

All of the routes require a similar amount of prep, so choose whichever you like the look of most – you can always play the others later.

If you need more detail, here’s a rundown of each.

Aggressive heist approach

If you’re a fan of GTA online’s combat, then this is the approach for you. It involves fighting the casino security all the way through the building and using thermal charges to blow the vault open as well as the locked doors inside.

It has six mandatory set up missions, and seven optional with a further locked objective.

The six which you have to do are:

• Get unmarked weapons


• Find getaway vehicles


• Acquire hacking device


• Acquire vault keycards


• Get thermal charges


• Get vault explosives

The optional missions are:

• Scout patrol routes


• Disrupt duggan shipments


• Acquire security intel


• Get power drills


• Get security passes


• Acquire masks


• Find reinforced armor

The big con approach

In this approach you don a disguise to get inside the casino, then sneak your way to the vault, drill it open, then grab as much as you can carry and fight your way out.

This is probably the most changeable approach, because you can find different entrance disguises and your plan changes quite a lot based on your entry point.

Through optional setup missions you can plan multiple disguises to get you out of the casino as well.

This approach has six mandatory set up missions which are:

• Get unmarked weapons


• Find getaway vehicles


• Find a hacking device


• Acquire vault keycards


• Get your entry disguise


• Get vault drills

There are seven optional set ups, which include:

• Scout patrol routes


• Disrupt duggan shipments


• Acquire security intel


• Get power drills

• Acquire masks


• Find an exit disguise

Silent and sneaky approach

This is probably the toughest of the three to pull off successfully. It involves sneaking into the building with silenced pistols without getting caught, before drilling open the vault with a laser and avoiding security cameras to ride off into the sunset.

As with the others, there are six setup missions you have to do, with eight optional ones.

• Get unmarked weapons


• Find getaway vehicles


• Acquire a hacking device


• Get vault keycards


• Acquire a nano drone


• Find vault laser

Your optional missions are the same as the big con, except that you can find an infiltration suit and steal an EMP instead of getting an exit disguise.

Once you’ve chosen your approach, it’s time to get to work. Remember you can pay to skip certain missions, but not all of them.

Completing all of the optional set up missions gives you the best chance of success, but is not 100% necessary. Their main purpose is to give you options for when things go sideways during the job – so if you’re unsure of your plan, make up for it by being prepared.

Which support crew should you choose for the diamond casino heist?

Your support crew for the diamond casino heist consists of a gunman, driver, and hacker.

These basically determine the difficulty level of the heist itself.

A better gunman will equip you with better weaponry.

While a better driver will get you better cars once you make a break for it.

Finally, a better hacker will give you more time in the vault without being detected.

Better support crews come at a higher cut of the total take, and some are more worth it than others. For instance, you’ll definitely want as much time in the vault as possible, so picking an expert hacker is an easy choice. But if you’re not planning on being detected, then top tier guns are a waste.

Take into account your overall approach and choose what fits your style.

It’s what you’re here for after all. The total potential take in cash for one run of the diamond casino heist is $2,115,000.

If you’re not a twitch prime subscriber, you’ll first need to go and see lester in mirror park. After this, you’ll be able to search and buy an arcade from maze bank foreclosures. There are six arcades available to purchase. Here are their names, locations, and prices.

Fans have been waiting for the news for days now, but the diamond casino heist is now officially live in GTA online.

It works similarly to the existing online heists, as you and three others follow the plans offered by lester and try and empty the vaults of GTA online’s high class casino.

Preparation is key though and the more intel you gather before you start the mission, such as how the security system and supply shipments operate, the more likely you are to succeed.

When you’ve picked your crew there are three plans you can choose between, the self-explanatory silent & sneaky, dressing up as maintenance staff for the big con option, or simply going for the more straightforward aggressive approach.

You can still make on-the-fly decisions as you’re playing though, with the heist having several ways it can go, to ensure replay ability.

Last month, rockstar released the diamond casino heist for grand theft auto online. It’s been hailed as the the game’s biggest and most elaborate heist to date. In addition to choosing an approach to the mission, there are several steps that you must take before you’re able to embark, including buying an arcade and hiring a crew. In this GTA online casino heist setup guide, we’ll broadly run down the major parts of the prep stage, including what arcades are available for purchase, how to case the joint, and the three different approach options.

GTA online diamond casino heist – scoping it out

Step one: buy an arcade

To initiate the heist, first find lester in mirror park, which is located in the east vinewood neighborhood. He’ll let you know that in order to get things rolling, you need to buy an arcade property. There are a few different properties to choose from, which can be found on eyefind, the in-game web browser.

The “arcade equipment” mission tasks you with running down a truck full of equipment. Head on over to the post op depository, locate the truck, and take out the driver. Once you do, take the truck for yourself and return to your new arcade.

Step three: scope the diamond casino

The next step requires you to head to the diamond casino. This step is split into two different missions—one for the points of entry and one for the contents of the casino’s vault. Note that most of these objectives are optional. The first mission asks you to find all the access points into the casino. Here’s where they are:

• The main door – front of the building.


• The side doors – there are security doors on each side of the building; one on the left side and one in the back.


• The roof terrace – there are four doors you need to spot here: one next to the pool, one behind the bar, and two at the end of the path that begins on the ledge below the left side of the pool.


• The security tunnel – underneath the racetrack at the rear of the casino is a tunnel.


• The roof – there are two security doors on either side of the helipad.


• The sewer – there’s a storm drain across the street from the casino. Hop in and snap a pic of the grate inside.

Don’t forget to send lester pictures of all the guards and security cameras you find! Once you’ve taken pictures of all the major entry points and security elements in the casino, it’s time to return to HQ and plan your approach.

The next step is to choose an approach to your mission. There are three options.

Option one: the aggressive approach

This is the choice for you if you like gunplay. Choosing this approach requires you to complete the following objectives:

• Snag some vault key cards


• Get explosive charges

Option two: the silent and sneaky approach

If stealth is your game, then you’ll want this option. Here are the mandatory objectives for this approach:

This brand new heist addition to GTA V online is another one in the long-running saga of heists being added throughout the life span of GTA V online.

The latest one plays hand-in-hand with the diamond casino update rockstar games implemented sometime during july 2019.

Before this update, players were able to work with the staff, gamble, bet, buy penthouses and do whatever they would please in the casino, besides rob it.

But now, players will be able to directly rob the casino, as any good criminal would do!

How to complete the heist

With any heist in the GTA series, each one can be done in multiple varieties of ways and each has its own pros and cons.

With all those lights and all that money, it was always going to be a target. GTA online’s latest heist is ready and waiting, so here’s how to start the diamond casino heist.

Billed as the most secure building in the entire city of los santos, the diamond casino won’t be an easy safe to crack. This heist works differently to those which have come before, with tons of different preparation missions which give you a range of options once you’re on the job.

You’re working with the cheng crime family to get one over on the current owners of the diamond casino, the duggans. Your mission is to infiltrate the casino’s vault, slipping past the constantly adapting security systems and improvising solutions when you hit a dead end, to walk away with millions in cold, hard cash.

The diamond casino heist requires a massive amount of teamwork, a cool head, and more than a little patience.

If everything goes wrong – or the rando you get matched with doesn’t stick to the plan – you’ll still have the chance to go out all-guns-blazing with as much loot as you can carry.

All of this means that you’ll probably be playing through the diamond casino heist multiple times, choosing different paths to success on each run.

How to start the diamond casino heist in GTA online – retro arcade property cost

It wouldn’t really be the biggest heist in history if you just walked up to the front door and started casing the joint. To start planning the diamond casino heist you need to buy a retro arcade property.

All of the heist leaders have established one as a base of operations – a front business – nearby, and the retro arcade is where you can draw you the blueprint for your most audacious caper yet.

As well as starting your prep missions, you can also hone the skills you’ll need on the inside – including hacking keypads and blasting high-security vault doors. This is also where you choose your getaway vehicle, stockpile your equipment, and set up a master control terminal.

The free retro arcade is called pixel pete’s arcade, and is found in paleto bay. If you’re a twitch prime subscriber, then you’ll be able to claim the new property from maze bank foreclosures for free.

Otherwise, you need to speak to lester at mirror park. After the cutscene, go to maze bank foreclosures on eyefind and filter by arcades.

There are 6 arcades in total – 4 in the south of the map, and 2 in the north. They cost:

Once you’ve bought an arcade, head over and go inside. A cutscene will play which opens up your base of operations.

Now use the laptop to start setting up the arcade. When you’ve grabbed some games for your business, another scene plays which starts the heist planning.

From there, you’ll be able to play setup missions from the drawing board.
